Water Based Adhesives
Water-based adhesives are eco-friendly bonding solutions composed primarily of water as a solvent, with polymers dissolved or dispersed within it. Unlike solvent-based adhesives, they emit low or no volatile organic compounds (VOCs), making them safer for both the environment and human health. Upon application, the water evaporates or is absorbed by the substrate, leaving behind a bond formed by the remaining adhesive material. These adhesives are known for their ease of use, easy clean-up, and non-toxic nature. Commonly used in paper and packaging, woodworking, textile, and construction industries, water-based adhesives offer good adhesion, flexibility, and durability. They are particularly effective for porous materials and are widely favored in applications where safety and environmental concerns are paramount.
